van that has already covered nearly 70,000 miles on delivery runs has been converted into a mobile stationery showroom by Scottorn, Ltd., Victor Works, Kingston Road, New Malden, Surrey. Sandhurst (Stationers), Ltd., Ashdown Works, Kingston, Surrey, are to operate it in most parts of the United Kingdom.

The original light-alloy body structure has been retained, but has been modified to incorporate only one entrance. This is immediately behind the front axle on the near side. Easy access to the double folding doors enclosing the entrance is gained by a removable step-ladder which, when not in use, is carried in the driver's cab.

Four or five persons can be comfortably accommodated, the h‘eadroom having been increased to 6 ft. 4 in. at the centre by a lantern rOof. Natural !ight is increased by eight narrow ;lazed panels fitted in the superitructure, as well as by-windows in the -ront bulkhead and at the rear. Artiicial lighting is supplied by two 6-volt tteries.

A wooden frame containing display mnels under glass lines most of the riterior. Built into the front off-side tame is a butane gas fire, the supply :ylinders for which are kept in a locker dongside. The top of the locker forms seat.

Along the off side is a cocktail abinet and on the near side a writing leak. Both are of equal dimensions— ft. ‘6 in. long, 2 ft. 6 in. high and ft. wide—and are of similar contruction. A folding flap on each xtencls the width to nearly 2 ft. A inged upholstered seat runs the full :idth of the body at the rear. The avity below is used for storing implies of stationery. The Austin mobile showroom that Sandhurst (Stationers), Ltd. placed in service last week. The detachable steps for access to the interior are carried in the cab.
