Ministry of Trans_ 1-1 port statistics, the number of C-licensees increased ..by 15,617 in the year ended September lastand the number of vehicles by 33,446. There are now 429,975 operators and 860,044 vehicles. C-licence vehicles weighing not more than 3 tons unladen account for 804,671 (93f per cent.). In September, 1952, the proportion of 30 m.p.h. vehicles was 90 per cent.
