A Letter of Appreciation.

October 30th, 1928.

The Editor, • The Commercial Motor. Dear Sir, Although I am confined to my bed through a sprained ligament in my foot, I cannot let the day pass without expressing my sincerest congratulations upon your "Road Travel Number" issued to-day. • Perhaps my indisposition has • afforded me the all-too-rare opportunity of closely perusing its contents, and this I have done, even including the advertisements.

The whole conception is one of the finest you have hitherto prtIllueed—the two-colour scheme is well worth the extra charge you have imposed upon we rcor struggling advertisers, and the advertisements are well displayed !. The articles bear the impress of authority and expert knowledge and the many very fine illustrations used reflect the greatest credit upon the department concerned: Altogether a wonderful number and one calculated to be cf f a rreac hi ng influence and stimulus.

You continue loyal to the best traditions, and the -trade generally is indebted to your optimistic and broad-minded attitude at all times, especially during those

terrible slump -years.

We were encouraged to hold an and to be true -to' ouradeals and together we have won througa, and by a maintenance of that same policy we shall enjoy mien greaterprosperity. My.warmeat thanks.

Yours faithfully,

F.C LTRSONS,

Managing Director, London Lorries Ltd.
