Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

FREED TRUCK driver David Wilson is demanding compensation from the Greek authorities after his impounded truck was returned in derelict condition with signs that animals have been living in it.

In January Wilson won his appeal against a conviction for people trafficking after returning to Greece to clear his name (CM 15 January). He had been sentenced to 11 years' imprisonment after his truck was searched at Patras port and 19 stowaways were discovered on board. Wilson was hoping to sell his truck to

pay off the payments on it that built up while he was in jail.

But when he finally got his f_55,000 40-tonne Renault Magnum back it was ruined: "The truck had been moved from the Customs compound to a scrap yard and was a complete mess. It had the window broken and animals had been living in it.The front panel had also been bumped and needed replacing.

"Everything that was in the cab such as my TV, fridge and CDs had been stolen. I am now employing a solicitor to fight the Greek authorities for compensation for my truck and loss of earnings."
