Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Roadtransport.com this week is all about takeovers the long-awaited VW takeover of Scania (which will probably see a merger of some sort with MAN) and the continuing string of buyouts of UK transport operators: TOG (likely to be bought by a hedge fund) and Roadferry (being bought by DSV).

Incidentally. the TOG story broke just after CM went to press last week it would have been frustrating for our journalists, but they were able to put the story up on Roadtransport.com straight away. That's why it's worth checking out the site every day (I would say that, wouldn't I?).

Oliver Dixon has been investigating the MAN connection with Navistar, and speculating that a Caterpillar tie-up might help MAN achieve a Euro6 engine using EGR. But what does this mean for Scania's link with Cummins? Keep up with the developments on the World Trucks Blog.

They average 10.5 mpg-plus on container work and pull like a train. I've tried the Euro-4 R480 (EGR) version and found it to be 20% less fuelefficient. I've also tried the R560 (SCR) and the R500 (SCR) and found them to be 10-15% less fuel-efficient plus the AdBlue cost.

"So what's my motivation? Saving the planet? The joy of complying with another EU regulation? We are talking about £60-2150 a week per truck."
