Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A CONSERVATIVE MP ird duced a ten minute rule Bill Tuesday this week, to bring • Dykes Act into line with the r tric system.

John Lee (Nelson and Col introduced his Lorry Traffic ( gulations) Bill which re-defii the heavy commercial vehicle being in excess of 7.5 toni gross. The Dykes Act define as over three tons unladen.

This change, which is not c sidered controversial and, if a thing, is tilted towards the er ronmental camp, brings 1 Dykes Act into line with I year's metric traffic signs regi tions.

It is understood that the G ernment felt it simpler that I be effected through a separ Bill, rather than for it to be ad( to the Transport Bill.
