Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

no bonus

• Sheffield Corporation Transport's 400 bus maintenance men have been awarded a 32s 6d a week • interim pay increase back-dated to November 16 1969. The men, who are members of a number of unions, have agreed to a scheme giving them the increase but without bonuses for holidays, sickness, absence without leave and apprentices' block release.

In return the transport committee has offered to back the unions in an approach to the National Joint Council for Craftsmen over improving basic rates, and to set up a local working party to review the pay and conditions of emergency staff.

Transport Committee chairman Cllr Roy Thwaites described the settlement, first part of a proposed productivity deal, as "very satisfactory to all sides".
