Locating Faults
'THE latest Bellbro Stethoscope from BeHanger Bros. L (London) Ltd. has a longer probe and an improved diaphragm to give greater sensitivity.
The instrument is similar to a doctor's stethoscope—it has sprung earpieces connected by plastics tubes to the amplifying diaphragm—but at this point a probe rod is fitted.

Zinc Coating Spray ARECENT introduction by Holt Products Ltd. is Zinc Plate. This consists of 90 per cent pure zinc and is sold in two sizes of aerosol can or in a " touch-in " tin with brush.
Zinc Plate provides a rust-proof finish when applied to surfaces after brushing away loose rust. Drying time is 20 min. and a heat resistance of up to 850°F. is claimed for the product.

Injection Pipe Nut Spanner ARING spanner specially designed for use on injection delivery pipe nuts has, been introduced by Britool Ltd., The spanner heads are strengthened on one side and have an 0375-in, gap milled in them to clear the pipe. The depth of the bihexagons is 0-375 in. and the hexagon size is 0-375 in. by 0-4375 in. Whit. (0.4375 in. by 0-5 in. BS), which makes it suitable for C.A.V. A, AA, B. N and Simms A, B. M pumps. The spanner weighs 8 oz. and is 8.25 in. long.
Also recently introduced by Britool is a second 0.5in. square drive Miniweight torque wrench. This is the EVT600/11-R, which will supersede the EVT360/R and weighs 1 lb. 14 oz., being adjustable from 10 to 50 lb.ft.

Portable Electric Tools FOR. the first time the AEG range of portable electric tools is available in the U.K. Included in the range are drills, sanders, angle grinders, percussion drills, screwdrivers and shears.
One of the drills (illustrated below) is the UR 86i *An. model. This is double insulated and weighs 4.35 lb. Consumption on full load is 330 watts and the speed 900 r.p.m.

Detergent Spraying APORTABLE unit designed for the spraying of detergents for cleaning purposes has been introduced by Basol Ltd., a concern primarily engaged in chemical manufacturing and making detergent tablets for vehicle washing.
Called the Handipower, the equipment consists of a container, similar to an industrial fire extinguisher, and a hand spray gun connected to it by two p.v.c. pipes. The container is filled with 1.5 gal. of detergent and an air line is coupled to valves mounted on the top cover. Pressure in the container is maintained at 50 p.s.i. by a regulator valve and a safety valve is also incorporated. The pressure in the container feeds detergent to the gun, the second pipe from the container being an air pressure feed connected by internal piping to the space above the detergent.
Air and detergent are mixed in the gun and the spray pattern can be adjusted. In addition to the 1-5-gal. model, which is available on 14 to 21 days delivery, there is a 5-gal. version which can be made to order and for this there is a six weeks delivery.
