Ltd. and United Automobile Services Ltd. together saved several thousands of route miles by cancelling •their joint through service (No. 91) between Leeds and Whitby, Yorkshire's longest Stage carriage route, and by retiming services out of Leeds during January and February. The service was truncated as during the war years with passengers travelling to Mahon on the Leeds-Scarborough service, and changing to United's PickeringWhitby service.
