Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

scheme was launched on Sunday, when more than 3,000 gallons of milk from 32 refrigerated farm tanks were delivered by road tanker to the Northern Dairies' Bridlington Dairy, Yorks.

The farms taking part in this scheme are situated mainly in the north east of the East Riding of Yorkshire in the Cloughton, Mahon, Driffield and Skipsea areas. The tanks range in size from 80 gal. capacity to 400 gal. and 27 of them were bought through a group purchase scheme organized by the Milk Marketing Board. Another five farms will be joining the scheme by next June. Eventually it is hoped to double the starting gallonage to some 8,000 daily.

Northern Dairies Ltd, will haul the milk with two road tankers, each of 1,750 gal. capacity. These tankers are insulated so that the milk coming from the farm tanks at 40° F. is held at that temperature until it reaches the dairy.

In England and Wales as a whole, almost 2,500 farms are now taking part in bulk milk collection schemes with a daily gallonage of 400,000, or 8 per cent of the total daily supplies of milk.
