type of arc-welding equipment ve been made by the Rubery Owen roup, under licence from the WestingJose Electric Corporation, of Buffalo, !my York. • To be known as Rowenarc, the system sploys a welding gun with a continuous re electrode, thus eliminating the use rods. Carbon dioxide and argon are ed in place of solid flux, so that one id can be superimposed on another, thout the need for cleaning.
Rowenarc is stated to convert arc&ling into a semi-automatic process it retains the flexibility of manual )ratoring and control. It is claimed it the process has cut job costs by more in 60 per cent. and that difficult probns in the welding of light alloys have en solved.
