Cwt. M. R. MORETON, governing director of Monty Moreton, Ltd., bus operators, Nuneaton, is to be Nuneaton's next mayor.
Ma. LOUIS LEVY, managing director of Radio Cabs (London), Ltd., has succeeded CAPT. L. P. S. ORR, M.P., as chairman of the Mobile Radio Users' Association.
MR. CECIL LAMB, who has for many years been in charge of the sales training school of the Austin Motor Co., Ltd., is retiring. He joined the company in 1928.
MR. H. F. HARPER has been appointed deputy works manager at the Eccleston, St. Helens, factory of the Triplex Safety Glass Co., Ltd. He became production manager in 1946.
MR. C. N. GALF,R has become a director and general manager of Rootes Motors (Canada), Ltd. He succeeds MR. F. M. S. BEST, who is returning to England to take up an executive appointment.
MR. I. E. T. WATSON has been appointed general sales manager of the construction equipmentsdivision of British Northrop, Ltd. He was sales manager of the Chaseside Engineering Co., Ltd., until 1953.
MR. R. C. SHAND, manager of the Doncaster factory of the Ford Motor Co., Ltd., for the past two years, has been appointed director of production for Mulliners, Ltd. He joined Ford eight years ago.
MR. H. J. WOODGATES is to take over the management and development of the commercial-vehicle contract hire and car hire departments of the Dispatch Motor Co., Ltd., London. He was previously with H. Lotery and Co. (Uniforms), Ltd.
DR. CECIL PEPPER has become managing director of Alexander Duckham and Co., Ltd., lubricant manufacturers. He joined their research laboratories in 1936 and became a director in 1941. Since 1952 he has been joint managing director.
MR. JOHN ALDEN, commercial vehicle engineer of Vauxhall Motors, Ltd., will attend the national meeting of the American Society of Automotive Engineers in Detroit, on March 16, to give a paper on "Design Features of European Trucks."
MR. E. W. ROBERTS (David Jones and Co., Ltd.) has been elected chairman of the Traders' Road Transport Association's Merseyside and North Wales Division. He succeeds MR. A. L. BAGLEY. At the same time, MR. J. L. HOPKINS (Rea, Ltd.) was elected vice-chairman, and MR. T. WILLIAMS (United Molasses Co., Ltd.) became honorary treasurer.

MR. SEYMOUR DRIBBEN has been appointed to the board of the Cummins Engine Co., Inc, MR. B. F. CAUNT, managing director of Atkinson Vehicles, Ltd., has joined MR. W. G. ALLEN, chairman of the company, in South Africa. Mr. Caunt will return to Britain later this month.

LICH-11. director of Thrupp and Maberly, Ltd.. as president of the Institute of British Carriage and Automobile Manufacturers. Mr. Light becomes immediate past-president. MR. C. W.
