MR. JOHN ALDEN, commercial vehicle engineer of Vauxhall Motors, Ltd., will attend the national meeting of the American Society of Automotive Engineers in Detroit, on March 16, to give a paper on "Design Features of European Trucks."

MR. E. W. ROBERTS (David Jones and Co., Ltd.) has been elected chairman of the Traders' Road Transport Association's Merseyside and North Wales Division. He succeeds MR. A. L. BAGLEY. At the same time, MR. J. L. HOPKINS (Rea, Ltd.) was elected vice-chairman, and MR. T. WILLIAMS (United Molasses Co., Ltd.) became honorary treasurer.
