Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Nottingham-based coach operator Skills is planning to sell its bus operations and depot in Sheffield, but purchaser Julian Peddle insists that the bus services will not be operating with his company, Stevensons of Uttoxeter.

A new off-the-shelf company, Beenak, has been granted an 0-licence for 14 vehicles and has been set up by Peddle and Ralph Garett — managing director of Midland Fox subsidiary Wreake Valley Travel. Garett is the nominated transport manager and the legal address of the new company is that of Stevensons at Spath.

Seven Mercedes minibuses and the depot at Petrie Street are involved in the sale and contracts have been exchanged, although the deal has yet to be completed.

Skills is looking for a small coaching base in the city to house four or five coaches. Some of its subsidised and commercial routes will pass to the new company.

o Stevensons has acquired three small West Midlands coach operators which add a further 26 coaches to its expanding 'Viking Coaches' fleet. Sealandair Coaches and Collett's Tours are both based in West Bromwich; Classic Coaches is based at Wombourne. Current trading identities will be maintained, at least for the present.
