The Econolock series has been designed specially for the fleet operator using up to 40 vehicles. The principle of operation is that a pump or flow meter is fitted with a suitable pulsing device which provides an impulse for each unit of fuel drawn, and this is fed to a particular counter in the system. Each driver or vehicle has a numbered key. Only on insertion of this key into a lock will the pump be energised to deliver fuel and the quantity recorded on the relevant counter.
