The work on electric delivery vehicles follows extensive research by Lucas and Chloride, Britain's two largest battery manufacturers, on electric city buses. Clearly, delivery vehicles using the same power source will need to operate in the same environment. Operators with arduous city centre operations, like NCL, the Post Office and some municipal undertakings seem the most likely users of such vehicles.
