THE specialist transportation and distribution section of the Institute of Purchasing and Supply has arranged a seminar at the de Montford Hotel, Kenilworth, on Thursday, June 19, commencing at 9.30 and finishing at 16.45.
Speakers include D. C. Shann, development manager, National Freight Corporation, whose subject is "Buying transport at least cost"; R. H. Duncalfe, fleet engineer, RHM Foods Ltd, on "Economic acquisiI:lion of vehicles by hire or lease"; K. F. Whittaker, controller of purchasing, British Airways Corporation, on: "Purchasing's role in transportation"; Martin Richards, regional controller of the FTA, on "Effects of inflation on transport management"; J. R. Marshall, director of procurement and material control, GKINI Fastener and Hardware Distributors Ltd, on "Management of a multi-delivery transport operation."
