SINCE Lord Nuffield placed 1,000.000 stock units in trust on behalf of workers in the Nuffield factories, employees had received -£960,000 in distributed profits, said Sir Miles Thomas, D.F.C., at the annual general meeting of Morris Motors, Ltd. The yield for 1946 from this source was more than £100,000.
Wages had risen from £2,824.973 in 1938 to £5,242,802 last year, Sir Miles added.
Referring to export trade, he said that the Nuffield Organisation had 120 distributors in no fewer than 89 separate countries.
