Road Transport Association that under certain Scottish Acts it is still illegal for owners of goods vehicles not to have their names and addresses on them while they are operated in Scot land. This legislation is, however, to he amended as soon as the opportunity arises, so as to bring the Scottish law into line with that prevailing elsewhere. The present stipulation comes under the Burgh Police (Scotland) Act, 1892, and there is a similar provision in the Roads and .Bridges (Scotland) Act, 1878. In England and Wales the need disappeared with the Road Traffic Act, 1930.
