AAll GPs can refer you directly to a private specialist, either in the local area or to someone who has expertise in a certain subject.
Seeing specialists privately is usually quicker than going through the NHS. hut it can be expensive.
You should really discuss your situation further with your GP; talk about why you feel you need to see someone so quickly. A new NHS initiative in England means your GP will he able to give you four choices for seeing a specialist in future.
