DAM day
• The Drivers Action Movement is organising a one-day conference on road haulage at Wortley Hall, near Sheffield, on 25 November. Speakers will include David Higginbottom, generalsecretary of the United Road Transport Union, and transport lawyer Jonathan Lawton. Delegate fees are £35 for organisations, including £10 registration fee; £20 for individuals; or £15 for the unemployed (proof required). The fee includes lunch and refreshments.

Community show
• 11th annual Community Transport Show will feature minibuses, accessible vehicles and specialist equipment and suppliers at Norbreck Castle Hotel, Blackpool on 19-20 October. The show brings together buyers, hinders, local authorities, advisors, planners and designers.
