Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

'THE order book is still very full, said I Mr. R. H. Seddon, chairman of Seddon Diesel Vehicles, Ltd., at the company's annual meeting, when he reported a profit, after taxation, of £52,286, against £33,775. New orders, he said, were being placed at a higher rate than Seddon were at present able to produce, with the result that delivery dates which they had to quote were lengthening.

They were, however, hopeful that with the• extra production of components, which they hoped to manufacture in their own works,. they would be able to relate production more closely to the number of orders being received,-and so be able at least to quote a reasonable delivery date.

Trade in 46 overseas 'territories had been maintained during the year.
