THE employers' sides of the National Council for the Omnibus Industry and the National Joint Industrial Council for the Road Passenger Transport Industry have not yet replied to a union suggestion that they and the union jointly ask the Minister of Labour to set up a committee of investigation into pi.* and conditions of provincial company and mtmidpal busmen.
A claim for more pay and improved conditions was turned down by the N.C.O.I. last month. The wages committee of the N.J.I,C is to consider a similar claim next Thursday.
