Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

letter from Dr. C. Hewitt Tv Anderson, published in our issue dated December 23, and referring to the provision of hot water for the troops, the following letter has been received:— I aril to inform you that a mobile hot-water apparatus is already in existence in the Army, consisting of four shower-bath plants, each plant with five "roses." This plant is carried on a lorry and may be utilized for units in forward areas or for cleansing a whole brigade coming out of the line. Hot-water baths are available within seven minutes of the plant being erected, which takes only a few minutes.

By the use of this apparatus every soldier is ensured, under normal circumstances, a routine hot shower bath. Furthermore, on every lorry a hot-air, portable disinfestor is carried as part of the unit. The soldier, on passing through the unit has, therefore, his outer clothing disinfested and clean underclothing, clothing and shirt, supplied from the divisional (mobile) laundry. At the same time he has a hot shower bath and, if necessary, is barbered, as a barber and his tools are included in the personnel of the unit.

am to thank you for bringing to notice the scheme, but am sure you will agree that this matter is well in hand. J. M. CANDFORD, Lt.-Col.
