fto British Gypsum has appointed Scottish haulier WH Malcolrn to take over the distribution of its plasterboard products from Eddie Stobart.
Nexus, TDG's bulk and consumable liquids specialist, has won a three-year, £2.5m contract with Cadbury for the distribution of cocoa butter and cocoa liquor throughout the UK.
Paper and packaging distributor TDG Williams has won a £120,000-a-year national contract with Sashpoint, which converts paper for industrial use.
Immingham-based HTL Transport, part of the DFDS Group, has a 2500,000-ayear distribution deal with Cray Valley Products of Stallingborough, which produces structural resin.
• Robsons, part of UCI Logistics, has won a new contract with Prelude, the toiletry manufacturer, after a six-month trial. Under the deal, worth £250,000 a year, Robsons will provide warehousing, packing and nationwide distribution.
Ryder is negotiating with British Airways to buy its ground fleet services division of 7,300 vehicles worth more than £50m. Once the deal is complete BA intends to award Ryder five-year maintenance contracts at Heathrow and Gatwick.
Bulk liquids distributor TDG Linkman has invested more than £200,000 in new tankers and equipment for its contract with Gelpke & Bate, the chemical and solvent manufacturer. The vehicles will operate from Batley, Purfleet and Immingham.
