• Two drivers appeared at Dover magistrates court last week separately charged with illegally importing drugs. Naylor Transport driver John Melvyn Slyring, 60, of De Trafford Street, Crossland Moor, Huddersfield was granted bail to reappear on 6 March.
Fred Gordon Nicklin, 51, of Central Drive, Shothom, Deeside, Clwyd, working for Nicklin Transport, was remanded in custody until 27 February. He is also charged with importing drugs.
