RENAULT Vehkules Industrials increased turnover last year by 9.6 per cent, rising to 12,200m Fr (£1,109m). Of that, 7,300m Fr was business conducted in France. Export sales were up by 23.3 per cent.
The company exported 18,000 commercials over five tonnes last year, an increase of 2,000 and 46 per cent of these all deliveries went for export.
Although production fell from 54,000 to 47,000 vehicles, this was accounted for largely by the replacement of Blainville-built panel vans and light chassis cabs by the Master range which is built by Renault's car division.
