DURING 1981 Volvo deliverc just over 28,000 lorries whi( exceeds the company's rem result of 1979.
According to Sten Langeniu president of Volvo Truck Cc poration: "This result is goc when you consider the de( world recession in the hea) sector. Our increased mark shares, chiefly in Europe, ar continued good profitabilit gives us a good start and th prospect of improvement in th economic situation."
For the period last year up and including October 19E there was an overall decline more than 20 per cent in ft European heavy lorry market.
In spite of this Volvo clain that its market share increas( from approximately 12.5 to ' per cent.
The countries where Volvo i creased its share are Denmar Norway, France, Holland, We Germany and Great Britain.
During the first three quarte of last year Volvo increased i turnover by 16 per cent.
