• Transport Minister Jahn Speilar is calling for better facilities for truck drivers on motorways and main roads.
He wants more secure parking, better washing facilities and showers, and better road signing to truckstops claimSng it is essential that truckers find "decent and affordable facilities" at regular intervals.
However the move has been met with scepticism by Dave Young, the editor of CM'S sister magazine Truck & Driver who has branded the government's efforts to date as "pathetic'.
