Show date
• The 1992 Motor Show is to move back to October. It was held in September this year, but the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, which organises the show, admits that the change was unsuccessful.
Port prospers
• More than 916,000 lorries used Dover in the first 10 months of 1990 — an increase of 26,000 on the same period last year. Coach traffic is up by 3,800.
Romanian rescue
• The RAC is donating two Iveco Ford recovery vehicles to the Automobile Club of Romania, which was set up again this year after being banned by the Ceausescu regime in 1984.

• Transport firm Cert has sold its wine storage business in order to concentrate on distribution.
