• Pontypridd hauler Glyn Gardiner, and two of his drivers, were ordered to pay fines and costs totalling 21,610, when they failed to appear before Leigh Magistrates.
Gardiner had pleaded guilty to three hours offences, one offence of permitting a driver to drive without an HGV driving licence, one of permitting a driver to drive without a driving licence, and one of failing to use a tachograph.
Paul Herbert, of Cardiff, had pleaded guilty to eight hours and tachograph offences.
Richard Smith, of Gurnos, was convicted in his absence of one offence of driving without an HGV driving licence, one of driving without an ordinary driving licence, and two hours offences.
