Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Bodybuilder Brimec has produced a shortened version of its long-wheelbase lveco Ford Daily recovery vehicle, which it says increases its payload by 450kg.

This is achieved by cutting 800mm off the rear, reducing the load on the rear axle, says the Bristol-based company.

The first shortened vehicle has gone into service with Northampton Iveco Ford dealer and recovery firm Airflow. Payload is upped from 957kg to 1,402kg, it claims.

Brimec launched a recovery vehicle based on the standard 49.10 Iveco Ford Daily earlier this year. Both versions have Brimec TC23 hydraulic lifting equipment.

Fitting it to the first vehicle cost around 25,200. The new package, including shortening the van, is priced at about 26,500.
