On 19 June, the St Austell station closed its doors and the nearest official VOSA sites are at Plymouth and Redruth. However, some consolation has been offered since 29 June when VOSA handed over the St Austell operation to the private company Oweline GB as a Designated remises.
"When it transpired that the test station was due for mineht closure, there was a lot of locally voiced opposition. As a company we are proud to have a hand in extending a continuity of service to all of our future business partners," says Richard Jacobs, director of Driyelne GB.
