• Video cameras on the M5 in Worcestershire recorded this lorry crashing into a car and a police car, helping to convict the lorry driver for dangerous driving. The incident was shown as part of a video accompanying West Mercia Constabulary's annual report. The force says the number of fatal and serious road injuries in its area was down 4% to 1,300 in 1997/98 compared with 1996/7.
