Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A West Sussex haulier which has been in business for a quarter of a century is the latest victim of increasing fuel prices.

Shoreham-by-Sea-based general haulier Shoreham Transport Services blames low rates and the everincreasing cost of diesel for its decision to close its doors.

A spokesman says: "We got out before we were forced out. We did the honourable thing."

The company's 19 trucks will be auctioned on Saturday 15 August at its premises at Sussex Wharf, Harbour Way. Sixteen drivers at the firm were made redundant but most have since found new work, says the spokesman.

"This cessation won't be a surprise to CM readers," he adds. "This kind of thing seems to happen every week now."
