NI Carriers, Ltd., and the British Transport Commission for the purchase by -private treaty of the whole of the Commission's chartered meat fleet have ceased. Because of a change in policy, U.C.L. have decided instead to tender for the vehicles when they are put up for sale in the ordinary way. A spokesman of the company. told The Commercial Motor on Wednesday that there was no question of the negotiations breaking down.
The chartered meat fleet, consisting of nearly 600 vehicles, will be included in list S2, to be published next Wednesday.
