Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS supplier Lafarge Aggregates has created its own fleet of vehicles to be brought in for major projects or to provide cover.

The 20 company-owned vehicles with full-time drivers will give the company flexibility to deploy cover anywhere in the country during holidays or periods of sickness.

Lafarge's decision to create its own fleet bucks the industry trend for aggregates and con struction firms to buy trucks and trailers on behalf of their ownerdrivers, who then pay them back. But the company says it does not intend to replace its 400 owner-drivers.

"It doesn't apply to them; they are their own businesses," explains a Lafarge spokeswoman. "It's useful if we have a big project. ltgivesus extra resources. There are only 20 vehicles and there are 400 owner-drivers."
