AN OPERATOR has been refused permission to base 10 vehicles and six trailers at its distribution centre on road safety and environmental grounds, despite arguing that the site had been an authorised centre in the past.

Eastern Traffic Commissioner Geoffrey Simms heard that Irish-owned Montgomery Distributionhad reached agreement with residents to mitigate any adverse environmental affects at its site in Chalfont St Giles, Bucks.
