Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I NOTED YOUR Comment piece asking the question "Who does Skills for Logistics serve?" (CM 9 March).

I think the answer is the whole industry. but Skills for Logistics itself recognises that its engagement with the smaller operators in the industry has not been good enough.

You comment that "after two years with Sector Skills Council status little has actually been achieved-. It would be wise to remember that Rome was not built in a day and that reversing the appalling attitudes of this industry to the training and development of staff will not happen overnight.

I believe that the interests of road transport would he best served if you did not define the industry's requirements as being "free training with minimal downtime", but instead encouraged the industry to invest in its staff in order to aid recruitment and retention.
