Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• NU Rolls has put the first of Nooteboom's latest EURO 58 tri-axle extending bed lowloaders into full operation.

In the closed' position the trailer has a flat loadbed of 6m and can operate within the C&U 18m length limit. When operating on Special Types work up to 60 tonnes the flat area of loadbed reaches 8.5m and the load bearing outriggers can give an overall width of 3.1m.

Built from alloy steel, the trailer has an unladen weight of 11 tonnes with hydraulically suspended axles. It runs on twin tyres and each axle can be loaded to 15.5 tonnes; the rearmost is self-tracking.

The hydraulically removable goose neck is detached to load plant from the front end. By lowering the rear deck height an excavator's arm can be lowered between the wheels to minimise running height.

The combination will make its debut at the Site Equipment Demonstration Show in May. Also on display will be Nooteboom's tri-axle Easy Beaver semi-low bed stepframe which has a 9m long loadbed, a deck height of 865mm and a 170nun-thick gooseneck.
