Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• An order has already been placed for the Dennis Lance single-deck bus chassis which will debut at next month's Coach & Bus '91 show at the NEC.

Ipswich Buses has bought an 11.5m Lance with an East Lancashire Coachbuilders singledecker variation of the aluminium EL2000 body.

The Suffolk-based operator plans to use the 45-seater for stage carriage work: it joins a fleet of nearly 100 PCVs which include 29 Dennis Falcons, four Javelins and two Dominators. The company's principle bodybuilder is Blackburn-based ELC.

The Lance has been designed to DiP-TAC standards and is fitted with a 157kW (211hp) Cummins C Series engine and push-button ZF automatic transmission.

Walter Alexander of Falkirk, one of the three other bodybuilders which are working on the Lance chassis, also plans to have a vehicle ready for the C&B show with a variation of its PStype body.

The other two Lance bodybuilders are Plaxton and Northern Counties. The Lance is designed to take bodies which have the capacity to carry up to 74 passengers.

CI Dennis now has orders for more than 200 buses — it is expected to expand its 200strong workforce by up to 10%.
