Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

s Drivers at a large West Midlands haulage firm are refusing to drive on the Continent after being attacked by refugees attempting to enter Britain illegally. Oldbury-based Birds, which has depots in four countries and more than 200 trucks, has suffered £14,000 worth of damage to its vehicles. The drivers claim that the would-be immigrants turned nasty when they refused to cooperate with their demands to hide them in the back of their trailers.

The firm's owner, Andy Levett, says this is just one in a succession of incidents over recent weeks where his drivers have reported being attacked with CS gas and metal bars.

"On some occasions, attacks took place after our drivers checked their wagons, found the asylum seekers inside and ordered them out," he adds. "Now we have drivers who are scared to drive on the Continent and on top of that, we are facing a huge bill for the damage."
