NFC subsidiaries Exel Logistics and BRS under which all 3,000plus trucks and trailers operating From their depots in north-west England, Scotland and Northern Ireland will run on Dunlop tyres.
SP is taking on complete management responsibility for meeting all the operators' tyre requirements. John Parry, engineering operations
director for Exel Logistics and BRS, says: "Because we no longer deal through lyre distributors, SP Tyres UK itself decides on its service providers to us. In the past we dealt with different factors,
manufacturers and remoulders. Whenever there was a problem it was very difficult to apportion individual responsibility—the new system overcomes these difficulties and is working very well."
