Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The workshop side of the HGV industry is pretty conservative. Perhaps it would be

unfair to say that it's set in its ways, but there is dogged resistance to change in many quarters. But change is essential. New technology, computerisation and streamlined workshop practices are the only lifelines available—all must be grasped. The problem, of course, is one of scepticism. Engineers tend to be habitual in their mechanical approach which, in most instances, is fine. We have all seen too many wonder products hit the market, only to sink without trace.

Our investigation into oil bypass filtration is a case in point. On the one hand there is the 'industry establishment' denouncing its effectiveness, while at the same time the bypass manufacturers and their satisfied users are vehemently preaching the opposite. In this case the stakes are high. Significantly extending oil drain periods is something which many fleet managers will be opposed to on principle. Lubrication is so fundamental that it drives most users towards to official view. Dare you be different?
