• Arnhem has placed an order with Van Hool for its experimental Duo-mode trolleybus.
Arnhem is the only Dutch city to operate trolleybuses. It plans to introduce the TRANS 2000 (Trolley Arnhem New Style) to evaluate a number of features including the ultra-low floor height.
The pre-production artic will have electrical equipment by Kiepe of Germany; it will be on a 12-month service trial. If all goes well this trial will lead to an order for a large number of trolleybuses.
