United Automobile Services has promoted Tony Kennan to traffic manager from development officer. He will be based at Darlington and succeeds Robin Elliott, who is leaving the bus and coach industry.

Potteries Motor Traction has made John Mortimer operations manager, succeeding Steve Ellis who is the new company traffic manager.

The engineering parts of Southern National and Devon General are now to have their own fleet engineers. Previously one engineer took responsibility for both companies.

Cliff Webb, the current joint fleet engineer, will now concentrate his efforts on the larger of the two units, Devon General.
