SCOTTISH bodybuilders should be given every opportunity to tender for contracts, Edinburgh Transport Committee decided last week, after a deputation representing the National Union of Vehicle Builders, the Scottish National Vehicle Builders' Association. the Scottish Council (Development and Industry) and Edinburgh Trades Council had submitted a case for encouraging Scottish bodybuilding concerns, whose business, it was stated, was declining.
Contracts will be placed in Scotland whenever possible, the committee have decided, having due regard to specifications and prices quoted in particular instances.
