HAVING proposed to charge 4d. per entry for vehicles using the new Royal Well bus station, Cheltenham Corporation have been advised by the Western Licensing Authority that 3d. might be more acceptable to operators.
As this might, however, result in an annual loss of £400, the Clerk to the Licensing Authority has suggested that the sale of goods and refreshments might enable this deficit to be offset.
He added that the Authority would "find it difficult to impose conditions on road service vehicles which would necessitate the use of the station, if the operators could find suitable accommodation off the highway."
