Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TWO big units in the Special Scottish List have been sold as going concerns. They are at Dumfries and Kilmarnock. The British Transport Commission were unable to tell The Commercial Motor on Wednesday the names of the companies which were being formed under Section 5 of the Transport Act for the sale of the units.

Unit 4508 incorporates premises at Dumfries, Stranraer, Lockerbie and Glasgow. Seventy-nine operational vehicles, plus spares and trailers, are included in a mixed bag of articulated vehicles, a milk tanker, six-Aheelers, eight-wheelers and a van. Kilmarnock unit 4510 comprises 46 vehicles, plus trailers and spares and premises. Sixwheelers, eight-wheelers and tippers are among the fleet.

The names of the buyers are being kept a closely guarded secret, but it is thought that an official of B.R.S. is concerned in at least one case.
