• Bretnhill Industries, the parent group of specialist trailer engineer RTS of Newbury, is raising 23.2 million from a flotation on the Granville Independent Companies exchange, which is a privately backed bank exchange.
Geoff Wood-Hill, managing director of RTS, the largest company in Brernhill, says the move is a stepping stone to a full listing on the stock market. RTS makes two-tier, elevating platform road trailers for supermarket chain Sainsbury and has sold 70 in the past two years. It also designs RO-RO containers and airport vehicles.
• The company employs 40 people and accounts for about half of Bremhill's £7.8 million annual turnover.
