Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Hauliers need to listen carefully to their drivers when organising training for the CPC, says Skills for Logistics (SfL).

SfL, the sector skills council for freight businesses, recently carried out research among drivers in Northern Ireland to find out what they felt about training for the CPC.

The drivers said that because the rules and legislation in logistics are often complex, they would appreciate induction training rather than just receiving the new regulations in writing. This should give drivers a clear understanding of their own roles and responsibilities in line with the new rules.

Managers and operators surveyed during the same research saw training courses as a chance not just to comply with the legislation, but also to bring cost savings by encouraging safer and more fuel-efficient drMng.

And both drivers and operators say that those providing the training need to ask hauliers what they need from training. This could include, for example, training being flexible enough to be given at times that suit the haulier as well as the training company.
